The Specialist Behind the Record.
Mountain West Productions was built on a single conviction: the legal record deserves a specialist, not a generalist.
Precision Is Not Optional
When a deposition is recorded, the video becomes part of the legal record — subject to scrutiny, admissibility challenges, and courtroom presentation. There is no margin for technical error, procedural oversight, or compromised chain of custody.
Mountain West Productions was founded to meet that standard. Every engagement is handled by a Certified Legal Video Specialist with the training, credentials, and professional discipline the legal process demands.
The CLVS Credential
The Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) designation is issued by the National Court Reporters Association — the governing body for legal transcription and video professionals in the United States. It is the highest professional credential available in legal videography.
Earning the CLVS requires demonstrated mastery of legal video procedures, equipment standards, chain-of-custody protocols, and court rules governing video evidence. Maintaining it requires ongoing professional education and adherence to the NCRA Code of Professional Ethics.
"Every recording is handled as if it will be the most important evidence in the case — because it might be."
A Commitment to the Record
Legal professionals who work with Mountain West Productions know what to expect: meticulous preparation, professional conduct throughout the proceeding, and delivery of a court-admissible recording with full chain-of-custody documentation.
That consistency is not accidental. It is the result of specialized training, professional accountability, and a genuine understanding of what is at stake when the record is made.
